Introduction

Eco Health Solutions is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles. These principles are based on the Privacy Act 1988, and amendments that came into effect from 2014.

While Eco Health Solutions is a company that predominantly services Australia, our websites contain helpful information to support people all over the world. Eco Health Solutions website may be visited by residents of the EU and such residents may also subscribe to content offered by Eco Health Solutions by providing personal information. As such Eco Health Solutions aims to comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) to ensure that your information is protected.

Why Do We Collect, Use, Hold and Share Your Personal Information?

We collect your information within the website for communication purposes. If you opt in to receiving e-newsletters, gifts, enrol in a course or webinar, or place an order, your information is stored based on the information which you have provided.

If you have placed an order, your postal address is collected, along with your phone number. This is merely for the delivery of your goods.

Other communications may be through social media, and your information is not collected from these sites.

In short, we only use your data for the purposes of which it is collected.

Personal Information

The information we will collect about you includes:

  • Your name and email address for electronic requests, such as emails, newsletters, gifts and courses

Eco Health Solutions will collect your personal information via the website forms that you complete and use it to complete your requests (sending out orders, newsletters, course content, and similar).

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Information you complete on our contact forms are used solely to assist you with your enquiry. It is not shared or distributed outside of the organisation, and is always handled sensitvely.

Data Security and Retention – Who we share your data with

Your data is only accessible by those who need to access it. No one else.

We only retain your data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for.

For taxation purposes, basic information about customers needs to be retained for 5 years after you stop being a customer. Basic information includes your contact details and details of the transactions.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
